Q1. Who can buy and sell here?
  • Queensland only
  • 18+ only (no exceptions)
  • Sellers must agree not to ship to states or territories where gel blasters are banned
  • You don’t need an ABN to sell your personal gear, but shops and fields can join as partners.

Everyone using the platform is responsible for following their own state and local laws.

Q2. Are gel blasters legal in my state?

Gel blaster laws are different across Australia and can change over time.

We do not allow shipping to anywhere except within Queensland, and every seller must confirm they understand that when they list.

Before you buy or list anything, you are responsible for checking the current laws in your state or territory and making sure you comply with them.

Q3. How do trades actually work?
  1. Buyer browses listings and checks photos, description and condition
  2. Buyer completes checkout through our secure Shopify payment system — payment goes through us, not directly to the seller
  3. Seller ships the item using a tracked service within Queensland only and sends us the tracking number
  4. We confirm delivery via Aftership tracking — a 48-hour buyer dispute window opens
  5. Seller gets paid via PayID within 48 hours of confirmed delivery — no disputes, no delays
Q4. What can I list on RedSpear?

You can list:

  • Gel blaster rifles and pistols
  • Mags, ammo, batteries and chargers
  • Parts, upgrades and accessories
  • Protective gear
  • 3D-printed parts and accessories that are gel-blaster related

Everything must:

  • Be accurately described (brand, model, condition, any known issues)
  • Be legal to own and ship in your state
  • Not be real firearms or firearm parts

If it’s dodgy, misleading or unsafe, it won’t get approved.

Q5. How do you keep trades safe?

Safety and trust are the whole point of this marketplace:

  • Every seller and listing is manually reviewed before going live
  • 18+ only, and no shipping to banned states
  • No drop-shipping, no mystery boxes, no “stock photo only” junk
  • Payments go through our platform — buyer funds held until delivery confirmed, protecting both sides

We can’t guarantee every human will behave perfectly (sadly), but we do everything we can to keep trades transparent, traceable and legit.

Q6. What fees do you charge?

Selling on RedSpear costs two things:

  • $5 listing fee — paid upfront, covers 4 weeks on the marketplace
  • 5% on sale — deducted from your payout when your item sells. This covers Shopify's payment processing (~1.75% + 30c) and our platform fee (~3%)

You see the exact dollar breakdown before your listing goes live. On a $200 sale, you receive approximately $190. No hidden fees, no commission surprises.

Payments go through our secure Shopify checkout — buyers pay us, we pay you via PayID within 48 hours of confirmed delivery.
